Christmas Mass Information 2020
Dear people of the parish I have decided to conduct three masses at Christmas as we prepare to welcome Jesus amongst us at this special time as follows :-
Christmas Eve Vigil Mass at 20:00 hrs
Christmas Day morning mass at 09:00 hrs
Christmas Day morning mass at 11:00 hrs
My aim is to provide mass for as many of the parishioners who are able and want to come to mass as possible and I hope the above achieves this whilst providing flexibility.
For those who are not able to come to mass for whatever reason there will be live streaming of each service for those who have internet access at the following link :-
Click Here and search for "All Saints Church Thirsk". During, and for a few minutes before each Mass the word Live will appear next to the latest picture of the Church. Click on that picture to watch the Mass
By way of getting organised and in order to ensure we have the best Christmas celebration possible I would like to facilitate full attendance at each service as follows:-
Please use the link below to log your attendance at the appropriate Christmas service
When logging your attendance could you please note in brackets the number of people who will be joining you in your family in each bench.
For example a family of 6 would register two attendee places and against one of the attendee names would put (+4 in brackets)
This will be a great help and allow the stewards to organise seating positions thereby optimising the number of people who can attend each service whilst ensuring parishioners health and safety
A reminder of the registration process is given below :-
To provide a 2 meter
distance between parishioners during the service :-
"Starting with the front bench in Church and moving from the front of church to the back please occupy alternate benches.
Single parishioners to occupy a seat at either end of the bench preferably occupying the end closest to the wall 1st (Single attendee on register)
Couples from the same household who live together please occupy a single bench and sit together. (Two attendee on register)
Families who live together in the same household with 3 to 6 family members can occupy a single bench (Two attendee on register with additional family members indicated in brackets against one of the attendee names)
There will be a maximum 30 allocated attendee places at each mass provided on a first come first served basis. To guarantee your place and avoid any disappointment please use the online registration system for the Christmas mass at :-
Thank you for Your help and support
I appreciate that this E.mail may only reach up to circa 70% of All Saints parishioners and can I therefore ask each and every one of you to reach out to people who perhaps don't have internet access and who would like to attend mass and register their place for them
I look forward to celebrating Christmas with you all
