Floral decorations on the Altar

Easter Sunday

The Church had been decorated with beautiful floral displays

Sunday 31st March
Easter Sunday

The Paschal candle which had been prepared at the Easter Vigil Mass stood to the left of the Altar. The five studs which had been attached to the candle remind us of the five wounds of Christ. There were two wounds in His hand, two in His feet, and one where the spear pierced His side. The studs are officially known as Brass Incense Grains as each one contains a small amount of incense.
