During Deacon John's speech he mentioned that he did not have time to prepare any words as he had the pleasure of welcoming the most recent addition to the Parish during a Baptism on Saturday. The baby and the parents were very special guests at the gathering

Friday 26th September

Some photographs submitted by Mary Ireland from 'The Big Coffee Morning' held in September for Macmillan Cancer support and organized by Margaret Steel and Mrs Joan Anderson and aided by ladies of the Parish. It has been held annually for the last three years and this year raised 205.

Cookery Demonstration

Cookery Demonstration Course

Norman is doing the second week of a six week cookery demonstrations course in the parish hall.

Golden Wedding Celebrations

On the 23rd May Deacon John Steel and wife Margaret celebrated their Golden wedding Anniversary.The Parish celebrated with Mass on Sunday 25th May followed by a Presentation by Father James Blenkinsop, on behalf of all the parish of a bouquet of flowers and a framed Papal Blessing Parchment.This was followed by a a Buffet in the Church Hall.The Celebration Cake was made by Mrs Joan Anderson.

Today we celebrate that, on the third day after Christ was crucified, they went to His tomb and found that it was empty and He had risen from the dead.

The Polish Easter Basket


Saturday 19th April
Easter Saturday

Each year on Easter Saturday the Polish community gather in the Church for the Blessing of their Easter Baskets. The tradition dates back to the 12th century. Initially all food that people ate during Easter was blessed. In modern times they bring a symbolic amount of food to Church to be blessed.
